OUR VISION
The vision of Living Word Worship Centre is to know Christ and make Him known, through the Word and the Spirit. Building an international congregation that is worshipping and serving the Lord in unity as we make disciples of all nations.
We have over the years developed 5 pillars of the vision with the acronym FORCE.
F - Family life enrichment. Bringing our family lives closer to God’s ideal.
O - Outreach. By way of evangelism, discipleship and church planting.
R - Responding to God in faith, prayer, praise and worship.
C - Community impacting. Extending God’s loveand care to all in a holistic ministry.
E - Edification. Ministering the word in the power of the Holy Spirit.
We also hold to certain basic values that form the acronym SHIELD.
S - Spirit empowered living. We want to live our lives in the strength of the Holy Spirit
H - Humility and Service. We want our lives to reflect that of Jesus (Matt 11: 28-30)
I - Integrity and Accountability. We want to be truthful and transparent in all our ways.
E - Equipping all believers. We want to train every believer to contribute to the work
D - Doers of the Word. Demonstrating our love for God by obeying His word.
There are 5 things that we believe will be pertinent for us in the times ahead:
1. Generating momentum by knowing and owning the vision collectively:
When all members know & understand the vision, then we can align our lives and ministries with the vision God.
2. Being passionate as we mature in the Lord:
Serving the Lord in a fervent spirit
3. Planting healthy Churches:
Planting more churches that reflect the DNA of Living Word Centre. (By the 15th Anniversary we shall be 5 churches in Sydney). We shall intensify our processes for identifying, training, & empowering church planters for this work
4. Enabling leaders:
We will find God-given ways of nurturing & enabling the seasoned leaders that God continues to give us, to make a full contribution to the development and growth of Living Word Centre.
5. A House of Prayer:
We shall be developing the prayer life & ministry of the church as a backbone to all that the church does.
