MINISTRIES
Below are the current ministries at Living Word Worship Centre and their functions:
USHERING MINISTRY
The Ushering Ministry is in charge of all arrangements for Sunday services. These include the general cleanliness of the church premises, arrangements of seats, decorations and the preparation of communion emblems. It is also responsible for the general comfort of visitors and the entire congregation during church services as well as making sure that orderliness prevails in the church. It is also responsible for collecting tithes and offerings, monitoring attendance and maintaining general discipline in the church.
WELFARE MINISTRY
The welfare ministry administers and disburses welfare fund, takes individual requests for assistance and looks into matters of financial needs. It is also responsible for contacting and ensuring entitlements are given to whoever is due for it.
YOUTH MINISTRY
The Youth Ministry is responsible for preparing the youth for leadership roles in the church when the time is right and oversees all the youth activities in the Church. The ministry undertakes such activities as Bible Studies, prayer meetings, evangelism, music rehearsals and setting up for Sunday services. It is also responsible for Youth Camp Meetings and Outdoor Programmes.
YOUTH/YOUNG ADULTS MINISTRY
The Young Adults Ministry is responsible for preparing the young adults for leadership roles in the church when the time is right. The ministry undertakes such activities as Bible Studies, prayer meetings, evangelism, music rehearsals and setting up for Sunday services. It is also responsible for Young Adults Camp Meetings and Outdoor Programmes. Members of this ministry undergo training for marriage through marriage seminars and counseling. Seminars also cover future vocation and general preparation towards building their future.
INTERCESSORY MINISTRY
This ministry is in charge of designing and conducting prayer and fasting weeks (as per the Church's calendar and in consultation with the pastor), revivals, prayer retreats and intercessions. It is also responsible for drawing programmes and coordinating activities that will encourage daily devotions and individual prayer life and also for the establishment of prayer networks inside and outside the Church.
CHILDREN'S MINISTRY
The children's ministry is in charge of organising the children in the church during Sunday services for prayers, music, Bible studies, evangelism and other activities. The ministry also teaches the children role playing of biblical characters with the aim of assisting them to appreciate what it means to be born again and to acquire the nature of Christ. It also teaches them the values of Christianity and the Church and exposing them to the relevancy of the gospel.
EVANGELISM/ OUTREACH MINISTRY
This ministry is responsible for drawing programmes of activities for the evangelical committee and the entire church. It is in charge of all evangelical efforts including indoor and outdoor crusades, missions and outreaches of the church.
MUSIC MINISTRY
Members of this ministry lead praises and worship during church services. The Ministry is responsible for designing and coordinating programmes that will bring singers, drama/dancing and music groups together with the aim of promoting spirituality and creativity in worship in the Church. It also trains singers, musicians and the drama/dancing groups and ensure their regular attendance to choir practice and prayer sessions together.
VISITATION MINISTRY
The Visitation Ministry liaises with the ushers to monitor the attendance of members at Sunday and Mid-week services. In addition to monitoring attendance it also follows up members with telephone calls and arranges for possible visitation. It also prepares a roster to visit all church members, the sick and absentees from church services over a period of time.
MEN'S MINISTRY
LWWC’s Men’s Ministry, also known as “Men of Excellence”, provides strategic biblical opportunities for men that stimulate spiritual growth and leadership with an emphasis on discipleship training while sharing Christ’s love in tangible ways within our homes, local church family and community.
WOMEN'S MINISTRY
The women's ministry of Living Word Worship Centre is committed to empowering our
women to grow physically and spiritually in their faith in Christ, fostering love and unity
among our women and other women and promoting effective ways of reaching out to our community and beyond for our Lord Jesus Christ.
Our vision, desire and commitment is that all women will rise above their circumstances
and excel in their spiritual life and their daily walk with Christ.
